Animations for Hollow Forms, a project blending Palestinian glassblowing tradition with contemporary design.
Dima Srouji is a Palestinian architect, designer, artist and educator. She designs beautiful glass vessels drawing from Palestinian glassblowing tradition and integrating it with contemporary design. As an architect, designer, artist, and educator, Dima's vision revives a centuries-old craft and highlights the cultural heritage while maintaining the current global standard of product design. I designed and implemented 'liquid effect' image animations for the website, making the images of the glass vessels distort like a liquid, in reference to the objects' production method and to evoke the playful spirit of the brand.
The playfulness of the liquid effect went well with the spirit of the brand and the liquid form was also a reference to the production method of the glass vessels themselves.
