Somatic-Existential Coaching

Reconnect with yourself, explore what matters, and discover new ways of living.

Maybe you’ve lost touch with what you want, need or feel. Or you’re questioning the version of success you’ve been chasing. Maybe you understand yourself intellectually, but something still feels out of reach.

I bring together somatic, existential and creative tools and practices as different ways of getting in touch with yourself and your life — room for creativity, freedom and aliveness. Together with the action-orientation of coaching, they create space for deeper awareness, greater freedom and new possibilities.

Sensing. Embodiment. Experiencing.

Learn to listen to your body’s wisdom to reconnect with who you are. Notice what’s happening in yourself, and live from there rather than from old stories and patterns.

Questioning. Reflecting. Choice. Meaning.

Explore what matters to you, the meaning of your being, and how you want to hold the uncertainties and possibilities of being alive.

Client Words

“Joanna is deeply curious and, as her client, this curiosity was felt as deep interest, care and attentiveness. In our sessions, her curiosity and openness to explore enabled me to discover profound new insights that have resulted in lasting change.”—Samara

Why work with me?

My own journey has taken me through different worlds, disciplines and ways of understanding life — from studying mathematics and working in high-pressure environments in finance and technology, to building my own creative business and delving into the world of embodied and creative practices.

Having followed my own questions in search of meaning and aliveness, I bring curiosity, openness and thoughtfulness to our work together. I offer a spacious environment where you can slow down, reconnect with your own wisdom, and discover a way forward that feels genuinely authentic.

Formally, my trainings include certifications with the Embody Lab and Existential Academy, and I’m currently training in expressive arts with Tamalpa UK.

FAQs

It brings together attention to the body's lived experience with reflection on meaning, values, freedom and how you want to live. Rather than working only through intellectual understanding, we explore what you sense, feel, believe and want — and what new possibilities might emerge.

Alongside conversation and reflection, we may work with bodily awareness, movement, imagery or writing. The aim isn't simply to solve a problem or reach a goal, but to understand your experience more fully and explore how you want to relate to your life.

No. You don't need any previous experience. We start where you are, and any embodied or creative exploration is adapted to your comfort and needs.

You might bring a sense of disconnection, a life transition, questions about work or purpose, difficulty hearing your own needs, or a desire for more creativity and freedom. You don't need to arrive with a clearly defined problem.

No. Coaching is not a substitute for mental health treatment. We can explore personal questions, patterns and possibilities within the scope of coaching, but some concerns are better supported by a qualified mental health professional. If needed, we'll discuss what kind of support is appropriate.
